Bohn Park
2nd Avenue south of Hwy. 36 (Main St.)
Bohn Park is located off of 2nd Ave. just south of Park St.

 
Bohn Park is just south of the confluence of the North and South St. Vrain Rivers. This beautiful park was recognized by the Colorado Lottery for creative use of funds. Bohn Park has lighted ball fields, a playground, fishing ponds, a shelter house and restrooms, picnic area and a fishing ramp for the handicapped.

Kurt Carlson Skate Park

Named after previous Parks Director Kurt Carlson. Users of this facility should have on file a Town of Lyons Skate Park Release Form and fully understand the rules that are posted. Instructional programming and special events are periodically offered through the department.  


Lyons Valley River Park/ Corridor Trail
 
With 15 acres, Lyons Valley River Park will consist of filtering ponds, multi-use paths, interpretive trials, and a shelter facility.


Lyons Whitewater Park

Kayakers, tubers and fishermen alike will thoroughly enjoy. Starting near the "swimming hole", the Lyons Whitewater Park bends around the west end of Meadow park making it an easy walk for kayakers and tubers from the last take out back to the start. A summertime favorite!

Meadow Park is located in town just west of the above intersection.

 
 
Meadow Park is bounded on three sides by the North St. Vrain River and by sandstone cliffs. The park is a favorite in both winter and summer. In winter, skaters can enjoy an outdoor ice rink and in summer sounds of kids playing baseball fill the air. The park features playgrounds, picnic sites, excellent fishing and a horseshoe pitching area. The Meadow Park Shelter House has been declared a historic sight. Camping is available for a small fee (see fee schedule). Meadow Park is available for camping from April 15th to October 1st

Sandstone Park features a visitors center and restrooms. The visitors center is manned by volunteers who assist over 25,000 visitors per year. Information about Lyons and the surrounding area is available. The park plays hosts to the annual Summer Concerts in the Park series on varied Thursday nights in July and August. Take some time to enjoy a picnic and appreciate some fine sandstone masonry.
 
 
The Lyons Visitor Center is open mid-April to Labor Day.
